Description

The Techko Maid S187D is a magnetic sensor safe pool alarm for gates, doors, windows and sliding doors.

What it does

The alarm monitors an entryway to the pool area and sounds a high output, 110 to 115 decibel, six tone siren whenever the magnetic contact is broken. It is compliant with UL 2017 safety standards and tested by ETL, a third party testing lab, and it is designed to be mounted out of reach of children.

Getting in and out

Two included bypass buttons let an adult temporarily disable the alarm for 10 seconds to enter or exit without setting it off, shown by a blinking LED indicator. A secondary sensor is included for sliding glass doors that have a companion screen door: once installed, the alarm only sounds when both the screen and glass doors are opened, so the glass door can be left open behind a closed screen. One alarm covers one door or window; the secondary sensor is not a standalone alarm for a separate entry point.

Installation and power

The S187D is rated IP65 for weather resistance and includes adhesives and placers for mounting on walls and door frames. It runs on one 9V battery, not included, and has a low battery indicator LED that stays lit when the battery needs replacing.
