Description

The Sta-Rite 77707-0001 is the manifold bypass valve kit for the water system of Pentair MasterTemp and Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm high performance heaters, models 175 through 400.

Where it belongs

Pentair’s heater parts catalog lists 77707-0001 as item 8 in the MasterTemp water system parts, in the Max-E-Therm water system parts, and, for ASME heaters with the header design made from October 2012, as the Manifold Bypass Valve Kit ASME. It is supplied as a kit under the one part number.

Also in the service kits

The same kit is part of Pentair’s Heater Master Kit, 461100, and Heater Master Kit Water, 461102, alongside the thermal regulator kit 77707-0010. Pentair’s note on those kits says they are compatible with MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm models 175, 200, 250, 300, 333 and 400, and not with the 125,000 BTU heater.

Before you order

Check the model on the heater rating plate. The 125 MasterTemp has its own parts page that does not list this kit. Match 77707-0001, or the UPC 022315209718, against the valve you are replacing.
