Description

The Caretaker 4-1-2002 is the complete 2 inch union used on Caretaker valve plumbing. It is the genuine OEM part, supplied as a complete union rather than as a single half.

Why the union matters

A union is what lets a valve come out of the line for service without a saw. When it stops sealing, the choices are a leak at the pad or cutting pipe, and neither one is a good afternoon. Replacing the union restores a clean, serviceable joint.

Fit it complete

Union halves, nuts and seats wear as a set. Mixing a new nut onto an old seat usually puts the drip back within a season, which is why this part is listed complete. Confirm your plumbing is 2 inch before ordering.
