Description

The Pentair 155372 is the hose connector assembly for OptiFlo HD to CC pool and spa filter systems. It is the genuine Pentair part, supplied complete as an assembly.

Where it sits

On an above ground system the pump and the filter are joined by hose, and the connector is the piece that makes that joint. It is also the piece that takes the strain, since hoses get pulled, kinked and knocked every time the system is serviced or winterized.

Why it fails

Connectors crack, distort with heat and lose their sealing face. Once that happens no amount of extra clamping will hold, and the symptoms are familiar: a drip that keeps coming back on the pressure side, or a pump that loses prime and runs noisy because the connection is pulling air on the suction side. Replacing the assembly is the actual repair.
