The Pentair 154412 is the internal bulkhead locknut in 2 inch. It is the plastic nut on the inside of the filter tank that clamps the bulkhead fitting in place, and it is the genuine Pentair part.
Where it is used
Pentair lists it for the Nautilus and Nautilus Plus DE filters, the SM and SMBW 4000 Series filters, FNS filters and the Triton II. It is a shared part across a wide run of tanks, which is why it turns up so often on a service call.
Before you rebuild the bulkhead
The locknut works with a bulkhead gasket and an external spacer, both separate parts. If the bulkhead has been leaking, replace the gasket at the same time rather than reusing a flattened one. A bulkhead wrench is worth having for a tank that has not been opened in years.
