The Pentair 6-Port T-Valve Bottom Replacement Cam, 230010Z, is the 6 port T-valve cam for Pentair’s low profile 2 in. WAVE actuator valve. Pentair lists the same 6 port cam for its top feed actuator valves too.
What the cam does
The cam sits over the center shaft at the bottom of the valve base, under the T-valve assemblies. The gear plate assembly locks onto it: a square shaft lines up with a square hole in the cam, and the pin in the support post lines up with a small round hole. The cam is the shaped part inside the valve that decides which ports open and close, so a worn or chipped one shows up as ports that do not fully open, close or hold position.
Fit
Pentair’s in-floor catalog lists 230010Z as the 6 Port T-Valve Cam, formerly part 539639. The 3 port cam (230007Z) and the 2 port cam (230006Z) are different parts. Pentair’s WAVE guide stresses choosing the correct cam for the port count and warns that a wrong cam can cause injury or damage, and it lists the 6 port cam, light blue, as 230010.
Before you order
This listing is the cam only, not a gear plate, T-valve kit or rebuild. Confirm your valve is a 6 port model before ordering. A 6 port valve also uses six T-valve assemblies, sold separately.
