Description

Orenda PR-10000 is a highly concentrated rare earth phosphate remover, supplied here in the 8 oz size. It is formulated to react with phosphates in the water so they can be taken out of the pool.

How it works

Orenda states that PR-10000 reacts with all known types of phosphates on contact and hardens them into a fine precipitate. That precipitate falls out of solution and flocs, at which point it is vacuumed out or caught by the filter. The phosphates are not destroyed, they are made inert and physically removed, so plan on cleaning up after the dose.

What to expect

The water will go cloudy. Orenda notes this can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on the pool. Because the product is so concentrated, the correct dose looks surprisingly small. Use as needed and do not exceed the recommended dosage unless otherwise specified.
