Description

The Hayward HAXNUT1930 is the union nut set for the H-Series pool heater plumbing connection, supplied as a 2 pack. Hayward lists it as Union Nuts (Set of 2).

What it does

On H-Series heaters with a plastic header, the CPVC pipe nipples that accept 2 inch or 2-1/2 inch pipe are secured to the header with plastic union nuts, sealed by rubber gaskets. Hayward tells you to fit and tighten the union nuts before gluing the fittings to the pipe, and a cracked or stripped nut has to be replaced before the heater is plumbed back in.

What it fits

The set is listed for Hayward induced draft heaters, the Electronic ED2 style, the Millivolt and Electronic ED1 style, and the H150 through H400 millivolt and electronic ignition pool and spa heaters.

Why two

A heater has a union at the inlet and one at the outlet, and both nuts age under the same heat and water chemistry. The pack covers both sides.
