The Fiberstars Lens Gasket, Large, 22-15006-00 is the large lens gasket for Fiberstars fiber optic pool lighting, the rubber seal that sits between the lens and the fixture housing and keeps water out of the light.

Where it fits in the light

S.R. Smith acquired Fiberstars in 2013 and continues to support its fiber optic products, so its lighting documents are the reference for these lights. The S.R. Smith assembly instructions for the KL2 sealed lens kits call for a lens gasket to be installed on the lens in gunite and acrylic installations. The compression nut is then tightened only until it contacts the gasket, because over-tightening distorts it.

Vinyl pools

The same instructions say not to install the white lens gasket in a vinyl installation. A silicone spacer gasket supplied with the vinyl lens housing is used there instead. If your light sits in a vinyl liner pool, check the instructions for your housing before you fit a lens gasket.

Before you order

Fiberstars lists more than one gasket size, and this part number is the large one. The S.R. Smith instructions do not name 22-15006-00, so match the number to the part called out for your fixture. A gasket that has hardened, flattened or split will let water into the fixture, so replace it whenever the lens comes off.
