Description

ARS-SM2 | 3/8″-24 Antenna Stud with Bolt & Ring LugsThe importance of the stud mount cannot be over stressed! The antenna stud mount acts as a bridge between the antenna and the coaxial feedline. Accordingly, it needs to allow for efficient transfer of your transmitted and received signals to and from the transceiver. If the stud mount doesn’t perform that task efficiently you end up with unneeded loss. Also, the stud mount must be strong enough to withstand all of the stress placed upon it from an antenna that is subject to wind load and vibration. The ARS-SM2 stud mount has become the standard of our industry. This isn’t by accident. It’s a result of feedback from users who appreciate outstanding design and material quality. Instead of inexpensive aluminum, the ARS-SM2 uses a machined double female 7/8″ heavy polished nickel plated brass alloy hex nut to attach the antenna. Instead of inferior plastic insulators, the ARS-SM2 uses high quality nylon reducing washers. Instead of cadmium plated hardware, the ARS-SM2 uses stainless steel. Furthermore, the ARS-SM2 heavy-duty 3/8″ center shanks that provide for trouble free use.The ARS-SM2 stud utilizes ring terminal connectors (supplied) making it compatible with non-PL-259 terminated coaxial cables. In a typical installation, antennas with 0.600″ (15mm) of exposed threads can be used without the fear of bottoming out before proper tightening is accomplished. The ARS-SM2 can be used in any mount or mounting surface with a 1/2″ (13mm) hole.Special Features:Model:ARS-SM2Chrome Plated Machined BrassAntenna Connector: 3/8″ x 24 ThreadCable Connector: Center Bolt
