Description

The Unicel C-9415 is a 150 square foot replacement cartridge element measuring 10-1/16 inches in outside diameter and 31-1/8 inches long. It is the standard element for 150 sq ft Pentair style cartridge bodies.

What it replaces

Unicel lists the C-9415 as the replacement for Filbur FC 0687, Pleatco PAP150 4, the Predator 150 and the Pac Fab Clean and Clear 150, part R173216. If the old element carries one of those numbers, this is the direct swap.

How it is built

The pack carries 155 pleats. The pleat folds are cut sharp so the spacing between pleats stays open, which keeps water moving through the full depth of the media instead of loading only the outer faces. Urethane end caps hold the pack square under flow, and the 6 inch top and bottom openings seat on the manifold and the tank base.

When to change it

A cartridge that will not come back to a clean starting pressure after a proper soak and rinse has reached the end of its life. Fibers that stay grey, cracked pleats or a soft, distorted pack are all reasons to fit a new element rather than clean the old one again.
