Description

The Sta-Rite 14971-SM10E3 is a valve washer for Sta-Rite multiport filter valves. It is the genuine Sta-Rite part.

Where it is used

The washer appears in the parts list for the 2 in. Cristal-Flo top mount multiport valve and for the 1-1/2 in. and 2 in. side mount multiport valves. It is a small internal component, but a multiport only works because every one of those small components is intact and in its right place.

Ordering the right washer

Sta-Rite uses more than one washer across the valve range, and the 4 in. model takes a different one again. Check the number on the parts list for your exact valve, and if you already have the valve apart, look at the spider gasket and the valve shaft o-ring while you are there.
